Community Action Corporation of South Texas is offering COVID-19 diagnostic testing to health center patients.

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidance, certain symptoms must be present to administer a COVID-19 test.

• Fever
• Cough
• Shortness of Breath

The decision about testing is at the discretion of the individual provider.

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act requires private health insurance to cover testing for COVID-19 without imposing cost sharing for the patient. This coverage includes the cost of administering approved tests and related visits to healthcare providers.
